Inspired by the vision and values, this department offers a wide spectrum of courses to the students of Science & Technology, Management, Law, Education, Special Education, Library Sciences and English. It is believed that these branches of study are, by their very nature, humanistic and socially derived enterprises. Hence, the .inclusion of the study of languages, economics, social and behavioural sciences, Liberal Arts improves the quality of life through awareness of humanitarian and social concerns.

The Undergraduate courses taught by the faculty are aimed at familiarizing the students with broader social, cultural, economic, ethical and humane concerns. The advanced courses offered at the postgraduate level aim at cultivating critical thinking and enhancing the analytical capabilities & creativity of students. The department is actively engaged in innovative pedagogy, activity and project based learning, quality research, skill-based training and cultural activities, to bring about all around development in the lives of students.

The Department is already seen as having a range of exciting scholarly activities, promoting and supporting multidisciplinary work of the kind and contributing to expanding the frontiers of knowledge in Humanities and Social Sciences. For the fulfilment of its teaching and research goals, the department has competent faculty members who keep pace with the current developments in their fields of specialization.
