Clinical Program and Legal Aid Project

Clinical courses are the compulsory courses for the students. These courses help the students to learn the skills of drafting, writing pleadings and other related. These courses also prepare the students to learn advocacy skills, trains in professional ethics.
The Faculty of Law is committed to social cause and contributes to the society by way of spreading legal awareness, legal literacy and by providing legal services. It plans to coordinate with the District and State Legal Services Authorities in solving the disputes of the local people. As part of Legal Aid Program, the students will undertake some of the programs under the supervision of the faculty and Legal Service Authorities. These programs help the poor and needy who cannot afford the services of a lawyer for the conduct of a case or a legal proceeding in any court, tribunal or before an authority. Student will be learning skills in handling the clients who are illiterate and poor. They will be also helping the citizens to understanding the rights they have under the constitution and other enactments.


Faculty of Law also plans to take active role in the Lok Adalats in solving huge accumulated pending cases.

These initiatives aim at making the students independent before they plunge into the competitive professional environment. It enables the students to: 

  • Improve communication skills, refine interpersonal skills

  • Develop the right kind of attitude, enhance leadership qualities and abilities

  • Help emerge as a team player, result-oriented professional

  • Inculcate discipline, improve creativity

  • Makes students realize and take a part in social service activities that lead to community development.
