The Bachelor of Commerce (Professional Accounting Track) Program is designed by the University to create a degree program with special emphasis on subjects which are dealt with in the Chartered Accountant Program. A good deal of alignment is achieved in the program structure and sequencing of the various subjects, so that the students who pursue the B.Com. (PAT) Program will be able to appear for the CA Professional Competency Examinations and the CA Final Examinations with considerable comfort and confidence. Eligibility
Duration: Three years. Medium of Instruction: English Students who have pursued their degree program in non - English medium are advised to undergo proper preparatory courses in Business English so that they can cope with the B.Com (PAT) Program. Validity The validity of enrollment into the program is seven years from the date of enrollment. Students who are unable to complete the program within the validity period of seven years, but still keen on continuing the program, are required to register de novo by paying the requisite fee. Students who study regularly and appear for examinations every quarter may complete the program in the specified period of three years. 360o Flexi-mode The B.Com. (PAT) Program is based on self-study and examinations, with 360o flexibility for students. Self-Study : The University provides a detailed study plan and workbooks meant for self-study. In addition, students are also encouraged to use the courseware provided by the CA Institute and also standard textbooks available in the market. Examinations : The examinations serve to finally assess and certify the students' understanding of the subjects. Online registration facility All students are required to register for their examinations (including payment of fee) using the online facility only, as the examinations department operations are fully computerized. Eligibility for appearing in examinations Students are eligible to appear for the examinations of the first Group, four months after the date of enrollment. Subsequently, they can appear for one group every 3 months. Students are required to appear and pass the groups in a sequential order. Program Structure The B.Com.
