Dr. Amit Kumar Rana

Amit Kumar Rana received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, Howrah-711103, India. He received an M.E. in mechanical engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College. Currently, he has been working in the department of mechanical engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, at ICFAI University Tripura since 2020. Here, he is an Associate Professor & HOD in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of The ICFAI University Tripura, Pin-799210, India.

Dr. Amit Kumar Rana has over 17 years of experience in the teaching and research of mechanical engineering, as well as in the mechanical industry. After completing his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), at the start of his professional career, he worked in the industry. Previously he worked at the Academy of Technology, Hooghly, for 10.5 years; B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology, Kolkata more than 1 year; and Batliboi Company, Kolkata more than 1 year. Furthermore, he served the administrative role as head of the mechanical engineering department and course coordinator for more than eight years. His research interests include machine design, computational mechanics&plasticity, FEM modeling and simulation, micromechanical modeling, mechanics of materials, and design engineering. He published research papers in reputed journals and presented papers at national and international conferences.

Dr. Ganesh Chandra Paul

HOD - Chemistry, ICFAI University Tripura

Dr. Ganesh Chandra Paul was born in 1991 in Midnapore, West Bengal, India. He obtained his B.Sc. degree majored in Chemistry at Vidyasagar University (Midnapore College) in 2011 and M.Sc. degree in Chemistry in 2013 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, Assam, India. He then pursued his doctoral studies with Prof. Dr. Chandan Mukherjee at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, Assam, India.

Dr. Paul embarked on his independent career as an Assistant Professor, The Faculty of Science and Technology, ICFAI University Tripura in 2018. Dr. Paul’s research interests are synthetic inorganic chemistry specially coordination chemistry and catalysis. Now Dr. Ganesh Chandra Paul serving as a Head of the Department of Chemistry, ICFAI University Tripura since February, 2024.

Dr. Kabita Chakraborty

HOD - LL.M, ICFAI University Tripura

Since 2001, after having LLM, she has been in the legal field, serving many colleges, universities under different designations, and for many years she has been practicing at Calcutta High Court as an associate.

She joined ICFAI University in the year 2023 and since this year she has been working here taking the responsibility of LLM Program and NJY Legal research. She has published many books and articles on law in a number of reputed publications / journals and presented many papers in national as well as international seminars.

She has also experience in doing UGC/UPE project and many of her project proposals are waiting for approval. She has been supervising many dissertation scholars and PhD scholars in the legal domain.

She has also been invited as a guest speaker in different programs and also participated in many training programs. She has also vast experiences in the preparation of various documents e.g syllabus curriculum both in UG and PG levels, moderation of UG and PG level questions, NAAC documents etc.

Dr. Mamoni Kalita

HOD - BBA, ICFAI University, Tripura

Dr. Mamoni Kalita serves as an Associate Professor and heads the BBA Department within the Faculty of Management & Commerce at ICFAI University Tripura.

She holds a Master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in Econometrics from North Eastern Hill University, where she was awarded the NEHU Merit Scholarship. She earned her Ph.D. in Labour and Gender Economics from Tripura University.

Dr. Kalita has contributed numerous research papers to reputed journals and authored several edited books and book chapters. She has actively participated in national and international conferences throughout India.

With nearly two decades of experience in teaching, academic leadership, and administration, she has played a key role in organizing government-funded seminars and has been involved in various government-sponsored research projects. Currently, she is working on a project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

Dr. Palash Dey, HOD - Civil

Dr. Palash Dey is an accomplished academic and industry professional, currently serving as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at ICFAI University, Tripura. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, awarded in 2017. He brings over eight years of academic experience and five years of hands-on industry expertise in construction and project planning, having worked with several reputed organizations. His professional background has significantly enriched his academic contributions, allowing him to seamlessly integrate practical knowledge with theoretical instruction.

A passionate researcher, Dr. Palash Dey has authored and co-authored of numerous papers published in reputed national and international journals and has presented his work at various academic and professional conferences. He is also a professional member of The Institution of Engineers (India). His core research interests lie in the area of Structural Engineering where he continues to explore innovative and sustainable solutions to engineering challenges.

In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he is actively involved in consultancy projects. Through his leadership, academic contributions and industry engagement, Dr. Palash continues to make a meaningful impact in the field of civil engineering.

Dr. Prasanjit Dasgupta, HOD - MHA

Dr/Fellow Prasanjit Dasgupta is a HR professional with 25(twenty-five) years of industry and 10 years of academic experience. Fifteen years he worked as Head-Human Resources of several reputed companies out of which in the position of General Manager (HR) for nine years.

Dr Dasgupta is a Fellow of Academy of HRD and PhD in Management from Calorx Teachers’ University, Ahmedabad and has served as Full Time Faculty in Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi, and in Calcutta Business School and also in Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. Currently he is working as Professor- in ICFAI University Tripura and as Director, IUT Case Research Center.

Dr. Dasgupta was Faculty of a number of Management and Hospital Management Institute since last fourteen years and has served as moderator, paper setter and examiner of Post Graduate Courses under WBUT (Currently MAKAUT)/WBUHS/NIPM. He is Life Member of NIPM, ISTD, NHRDN and QCFI.

Dr Dasgupta has worked as Consultant of International Organization of Laboratories (Accrediting Body of NABL) and also as Recruitment Expert in Central Agricultural University, Imphal.

His research looks into different aspects of employee and student behaviour, work stress, leadership, engagement, psychological contract and citizenship behavior. He also has exposure in designing Balanced Scorecard and Assessment Centre. Some of his research has been published in several reputed journal and received Award for “Best Research Paper” from NHRDN in 2013, ICFAI University Jharkhand in 2020 and Fore School of Management, New Delhi in 2024.

Dr. Prasenjit Bal, HOD - Mathematics

Dr. Prasenjit Bal is a committed and dynamic academician with a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tripura University, specializing in topological properties and selection principles. With over seven years of teaching experience, he currently holds the position of Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics at The ICFAI University Tripura. In his role as Head of the Department, Dr. Bal actively oversees curriculum development through Board of Studies meetings, program design and revision, student mentorship, and departmental promotional initiatives. His teaching portfolio spans both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pure and applied mathematics, where he consistently integrates academic rigor with student-centered learning.

Dr. Bal's research is centered on topology, with particular emphasis on star selection principles, statistical convergence, and compactness.
