Eligibility

Candidate with Science who has passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.

  • Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only.
  • English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing).
  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.

The B.Sc. nursing degree program is a four-year fulltime program comprising eight semesters, which prepares B.Sc. nursing graduates qualified to practice nursing and midwifery in a variety of settings in either public/government or private healthcare settings. It adopts credit system and semester system as per the Authority guidelines with minor modifications suitable to professional education in a hybrid form. The program encompasses foundational, core and elective courses. The choice-based system is applicable to electives only and is offered in the form of modules. Modular learning is also integrated in the foundational as well as core courses that are mandatory.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a four-year undergraduate degree program designed to prepare students for professional nursing practice in a variety of healthcare settings. The program integrates theoretical knowledge with extensive clinical training to develop competent, compassionate, and ethically grounded nursing professionals.

The curriculum covers core subjects such as Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing, Nursing Research, and Management. Emphasis is placed on patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, critical thinking, communication skills, and health promotion.

Graduates of the program are equipped to work effectively as registered nurses in hospitals, community health centers, clinics, educational institutions, and other healthcare organizations, and are eligible to pursue higher education and specialized training in nursing.

The curriculum embraces competency-based and outcome-based approach throughout the program integrating mastery learning and self-directed learning. Transformational and relationship based educational approaches are emphasized. Through the educational process the students assimilate and synthesize knowledge, cultivate critical thinking skills and develop care strategies. Competencies that reflect practice standards of the Council address the areas of cultural diversity, communication technology, teamwork and collaboration, safety, quality, therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practice.

The ICFAI University Tripura follows the regulations and model curriculum prescribed by Indian Nursing Council.

Admission Modalities

The Admission Modalities are with reference to the full-time B.Sc. Nursing offered by the ICFAI University, Tripura. The medium of instruction is English.

Admission Calendar

As per TNC guidelines.

The selection of applicants for Nursing programs are on the basis of merit through application and interview. While evaluating applicants for admission, due weightage is given to academic distinction, awards in sports/cultural events, debates, quizzes and other extra co-curricular activities.

The applicants will have to go through a personal interview at the campus. This is to determine the applicants’ attitude and motivation to pursue the program.

Original certificates and Domicile certificate should be produced for verification at the time of interview. The original certificates will be returned after verification.

The admission decision will be communicated after the interview process. All the selected applicants will be required to pay the admission fee after selection.

The applicants are advised to read the guidelines carefully before completing the Application Form for Admission.

Applicants have to enclose self attested copies of the following certificates

  • Date of Birth Certificate / Class X Certificate
  • Mark sheets/Grade Sheets of all qualifying examinations
  • Non-submission of mark sheets/ grade sheets of all examinations may lead to rejection of application form.

  • Any other certificates pertaining to academic, extra curricular and other activities

Fee Schedule

Fee comprises of Admission Fee, Program Fee, Caution Deposit (Refundable) and Hostel Fee as per the details mentioned below:

Admission Fee

All candidates have to pay an Admission Fee of Rs. 25,000 towards the confirmation of admission.

Students should pay the fee mentioned in the table below at the beginning of each semester as per the due dates indicated in the Student Handbook.

Student Activity Fund

₹ 2,000/- to be charged in the 1st year 2nd semester (One-time payment)

Alumni Fee

₹ 1,000/- to be paid in the last semester of the program.

All students are required to pay a caution deposit of Rs. 10,000 with the fi rst semester fee. The caution deposit will be refunded without interest and after adjusting for dues, if any, to the students on completion of the program. In case of those who leave the ICFAI University, Tripura for any other reason, it will be refunded after adjusting for dues, if any.

Clinical fees will be charged in two equal installments, to be collected during the 1st and 3rd semesters.
